SenseToys began in 2005 with Lesley Burton, a mother of two sons with additional needs including language delay and autism spectrum disorder (ASD). After many unsuccessful searches for toys and games to help her sons, Lesley embarked upon an exciting new adventure and SenseToys began.
Making the customer experience simple

We select our products bearing in mind how easy they are for small or weak hands to use, the multiplicity of play opportunities, their sensory value and robustness. We understand how sometimes even ‘ordinary’ toys can help you produce extraordinary results, so it’s our goal to help you find them and show you how they can be used!
It’s our aim to make the customer experience as simple as possible, enabling you to get to the products you need quickly and easily, by searching by product type or behaviour. We are proud to offer a speedy despatch service as we know how much of a difference these products can make to a child, and we understand that not all sensory toys work for everyone, so we offer a hassle free returns policy. If it’s not right, simply send it back. We even accept purchase orders from schools, NHS or similar establishments so you can stock up on products for your classroom or centre with ease.

In July 2020 SenseToys took on its biggest opportunity yet and proudly joined the Sensory Direct family. Both companies have shared values and a genuine understanding of the benefits these products can bring, both through personal experiences and many years working with parents and professionals in the industry.
